Five Faves

I've always loved sharing my Favorite Things, a la Oprah, albeit quite a bit less bougie, and I knew from the beginning this was something I would want to resurrect from my blogging days into current day. It is far too ambitious of me to think I will do this every Friday, but you can count on some sporadic snapshots of what I am into at any given moment.

1.  I just adore the way that Shauna Niequist writes and perhaps more, the way in which she shares her heart. Her newest book, I Guess I Haven't Learned That Yet is such a beautiful, vulnerable glimpse into what early- to mid-40s life is like. At times, I felt like moments were lifted from my own personal journal. I devoured this book in a little over a week and felt so heard and seen after I read it. Highly recommend.

2.  This is kind of a dumb one but how CUTE is this calculator?! I use a desktop calculator daily for my day job, so much so that I actually wore the numbers off the keys (yikes). I found this one on Amazon and I couldn't resist. And, I must say you are a sensory person who like "clackyity click" keys, you will love this.

3.  After seeing the Ninja Creami on Tik Tok months ago I put myself on every waitlist possible to get one (they were sold out literally everywhere for months) and my dreams finally came true about 2 weeks ago. This thing is a dream... an iced cream dream! It's pricey but if you are a cold beverage and dessert lover, it is amazing.

4.  Also stumbled across this band, A R I Z O N A, on Tik Tok and fell in  instant love due to a video of them allowing a fan to play drums on one of their songs during a concert (Spoiler: it was incredible). Since then, I downloaded the [self-titled] album and have had it on repeat. It's awesome and a great summer jam.

5.  I'm not much of a TV watcher but like to get into a series every once in a while. I came across Resident Alien on Peacock and have been completely addicted. It is somehow funny, quirky and dramatically touching at the same time. Totally kooky concept, but Alan Tusyk kills it (literally and figuratively - wink).
